The ProConX is a MIDI remote control for controlling tone generators, effect devices
or other MIDI receivers.
If the ProConX is inserted to the MIDI signal path the incoming
MIDI data will be merged with the data generated by the ProConX.
The ProConX transmits all 128 possible program changes on all 16 MIDI channels.
The 128x128 bank changes in accordance with the GS/GM-XG - standard are also available, so that each of the 2 millions possible MIDI sounds can be recalled.
100 presets, consisting of bank number and program number, for up to 16 MIDI channels simultanously, can be stored and be transmitted by a stroke of a key combination.
50 additional presets which can carry all kind of MIDI events ( e.g. note, volume, sysEx ... ) are transmitted by a key combination and - two of them - by pressing the intended keys.
10 sublimentary presets contain general settings like splitpoint, time-out time, octave position, transpose, keyboard mirror, MIDI filter and channel converter or multi channel.
For every incoming MIDI channel a program change filter can be set, so that on this channel only the program changes generated by the ProConX will be carried out.
For every incoming MIDI channel the MIDI note information can be shifted +3/-4 octaves , transposed +7/-8 semitones and mirrored around the g#3key ( 44hex ).
Any received MIDI event can be filtered parted in command kind and MIDI channel.
Any received MIDI channel can be filtered, converted or duplicated.
A splitpoint can be set for a selectable MIDI channel.
For a quick and comfortable operation a one-digit input for the bank-, program- and presetnumbers is adjustable.
The +/-keys simplify editing the settings or searching for a certain timbre.

The ProConX has a large LCD display which is also well readable at a greater distance.
The power supply is a regular 9V block battery. Due to the low current consumption and the Automatic-Power-Mode the energy consumption of the ProConX is very small.
The ProConX is automatically switched off at the end of an adjustable time ( time-out time ) if it is not busy and no device is connected to its MIDI In.
With any keystroke the ProConX is switched on again.
