The MIDI norm limits transmitting to 15 m. Being reached between 5 and 25 m in the practice. If larger distances must be bridged, the EES LDM-4 helps.
The MIDI interface becomes (electrical -- without changing protocol! ) converted to RS422 and in the counter-station again back to MIDI.
RS422 is a safe transmitting from the computer and data technology.
